We now know who the Voice UK 2019 semi-finalist lineup is after the second week of the voice knockouts aired on Saturday.
The talent this year is phenomenal, and here is the semi-final lineup:
Team Olly
One of Team Olly’s semi-finalists is Molly Hocking, who sang Christina Perri’s ‘Human’. It was a tough decision for Olly to choose which of his acts were going to the semi-finals, but Molly really showed how much the opportunity meant to her.
A recap from the first week, Jimmy Balito was Olly’s first act to go through to the semi-finals. His place in the semi-finals was well earnt with his rendition of Radiohead’s ‘High and Dry’.
Team Will
Emmanuel Smith sang a wonderful version of ‘Made a Way’, by Travis Greene, which led to Will choosing him to go on to compete in the semi-final.
Another recap from the first week, NXTGEN was Will’s first act to go through to the semi-finals. They won their knockout with their rendition of ‘Runnin’, by Naughty Boy -ft. Beyoncé.
Team JHud
Nicole Dennis absolutely aced her performance of ‘Because of You’, by Kelly Clarkson, making her a real asset to Jennifer’s team.
Moya secured her place in the semi-final during the first week of the knockouts with her spectacular performance of ‘Woman’, by Neneh Cherry.
Team Tom
Cedric Neal sang Simon and Garfunkel’s ‘Bridge Over Troubled Water’, and his performance scored him a place in Saturday’s semi-final.
A final throwback to the first week of the knockouts, Deana Walmsley sung an amazing rendition of ‘Dusk Til Dawn’ by Sia and Zayn which secured her place in the semi-final.
Now we know who our semi-finalists are, we have a feeling that the competition is going to get even more intense. After all they are competing to score a record deal, which will be the start of a career in the music industry for them.
However, as we already know, this year there will be an additional contestant in the semi-final, as someone who didn’t make it through the nail-biting knockouts will be voted back into the show with the public lifeline vote this Saturday. We are beyond excited to find out which contestant has made it back into the competition after the lifeline vote.
