We have followed the contestants right from their first audition, watched them compete for a chair at the renowned Six Chair Challenge, saw them fight for a place in the Live Shows at Judges’ Houses and now the final sixteen contestants have been selected and are preparing for the first Live Show of the new series of ‘The X Factor.’

Here at CelebMix, we introduce you to the 2018 batch of contestants for the Live Shows. In this article, we introduce you to Brendan Murray, who is in the Boys Category and will be mentored by Louis Tomlinson.

At his first audition, Brendan left a lasting impact on the Judges, comprising of Simon Cowell, Louis Tomlinson, Robbie Williams and Ayda Field-Williams.

He first performed Ella Eyre’s ‘We Don’t Have To Take Our Clothes Off,’ but Simon Cowell asked him to perform ‘This Woman’s Work’ by Kate Bush. He received a fantastic response from the Judges and Simon said that he would remember his audition for a long time.

Following his beautiful performance of ‘Everybody Hurts’ by R.E.M, Louis Tomlinson chose Brendan Murray as his Golden Buzzer act, meaning that he secured a place in Judges’ Houses immediately.

At the Judges Houses stage of the competition, Brendan performed a Prince classic – ‘Nothing Compares 2 U.’

The first Live Show of ‘The X Factor’ will be aired on ITV on Saturday 20 October at 8.25 pm.
