We have followed the contestants right from their first audition, watched them compete for a chair at the renowned brutal Six Chair Challenge, saw them fight for a place in the Live Shows at Judges’ Houses and now the final sixteen contestants have been selected and are preparing for the first Live Show of the new series of ‘The X Factor.’

Here at CelebMix, we introduce you to the 2018 batch of contestants for the Live Shows. In this article, we introduce you to Giovanni Spano, who is in the Overs Category and will be mentored by Ayda Field-Williams.

I’d like to thank everyone single one of you for what you’ve done up until today including @TheXFactor

All of your hard work, support and love doesn’t go unnoticed but if we don’t pick up the phone, download the app or spread the word then we can’t continue this epic journey???? pic.twitter.com/0m1xmvfPSB

It’s clear that, from his very first audition, Giovanni has split opinion. The 33-year-old’s performance of The Spencer Davis Group’s Gimme Some Lovin’ was labelled as cocky, but he quickly managed to win round the judges and secure a place through to the next round of the competition on talent.

The singer did well at the six chair challenge and secured a place at this year’s Judges’ Houses, where the West End star stripped back and performed a version of Use Somebody by Kings of Leon. Ayda Williams and guest Judges Leona Lewis and Adam Lambert were impressed, and give the singer the good news – he was through to the live shows of the competition!

You can follow Giovanni on Twitter using @GiovanniSpano5, and follow his journey as ‘The X Factor’ continues on ITV on Saturday and Sunday nights.

Who are you supporting on this year’s series of ‘The X Factor’? Are you enjoying watching the competition progress as much as we are here at CelebMix? Tweet us and let us know using @CelebMix on Twitter, and check back soon for more X Factor news on our website.
