Meghan Trainor has delighted fans by announcing the release date of her highly anticipated third album.

Treat Myself will be released on January 31, 2020. The 15-track album will include Meghan’s latest single ‘Wave’, which she recently performed on The Ellen Show, and her 2018 release ‘No Excuses’.

Speaking about the announcement, Meghan said, “I’ve never worked harder on an album or been more proud of the music, I cannot wait for you all to hear it! There are also some very exciting features that you will find out about soon…January 31st! For realz this time!”

To celebrate the announcement, Meghan has unveiled a gorgeous new track from the album called ‘Workin’ On It’ featuring Lennon Stella and Sasha Sloan. The empowering anthem is a track which will resonate with many of us, as the ladies sing about trying to love themselves whilst finding the confidence to see what others see in them.

Opening up about the importance of the track on Twitter, Meghan said: “I know I personally struggle a lot with receiving compliments. I used to always respond with “ew” or “no, stop” and I’ve always wanted to write a song about how to change this bad habit and maybe have it help others too.”

“In almost every interview, I get told how I’m a role model for positivity and confidence but the truth is, it’s something that I still work on every single day. I’m working on believing the kind words and fully accepting and loving myself. For realz.”

“That’s why it means so much to me to share this song with all of you. Thank you so much to Lennon, Sasha and King Henry. So grateful I got to write this song with you all.”

Take a listen to ‘Workin’ On Myself’ below.

Alongside working on her new album, it was recently revealed that Meghan will be joining the coaching panel of ITV’s The Voice UK alongside Sir Tom Jones, Olly Murs and will.i.am.

It’s safe to say that Meghan’s new era is her most honest and inspiring yet and we’re truly excited to hear what else she has in store for us when she releases Treat Myself.

Treat Myself is available to pre-order now.
