I got to announce the OFFICIAL release date of my album Treat Myself exclusively on @theellenshow today!!! We’ve worked so hard to bring this album to life and I cannot wait to finally share it with the world. Treat Myself | January 31, 2020 Meghan-trainor.com For realz this time ?
To celebrate the announcement, Meghan has unveiled a gorgeous new track from the album called ‘Workin’ On It’ featuring Lennon Stella and Sasha Sloan. The empowering anthem is a track which will resonate with many of us, as the ladies sing about trying to love themselves whilst finding the confidence to see what others see in them.
Opening up about the importance of the track on Twitter, Meghan said: “I know I personally struggle a lot with receiving compliments. I used to always respond with “ew” or “no, stop” and I’ve always wanted to write a song about how to change this bad habit and maybe have it help others too.”
“In almost every interview, I get told how I’m a role model for positivity and confidence but the truth is, it’s something that I still work on every single day. I’m working on believing the kind words and fully accepting and loving myself. For realz.”
“That’s why it means so much to me to share this song with all of you. Thank you so much to Lennon, Sasha and King Henry. So grateful I got to write this song with you all.”
