The Men in Black are taking on Jump Street: Sony Pictures has officially confirmed the creation of MIB 23, a crossover film of the two franchises.

In 2014, a massive hack into Sony revealed plans to unite the sci-fi comedy Men in Black with the action comedy 21 Jump Street. It was long considered to simply be a rumor, but Sony confirmed the crossover at the 2016 CinemaCon.

Sony also revealed the official MIB 23 logo, which features “MIB” in steely letters, as seen in the Men in Black logo, and a bright red “23”, which is associated with the Jump Street movies.

Information about the crossover itself has been kept quiet. Jonah Hill and Channing Tatum are rumored to be reprising their hilarious roles from the Jump Street movies. There have been talks, however, that Will Smith and Tommy Lee Jones will not be coming back to their Men in Black characters, but it is unconfirmed whether or not they will be recast.

MIB 23 is expected to be directed by James Bobin, known for his work as the director of The Muppets. The crossover is set to begin production in June. No details have been revealed about the actual plot of the movie.

Whatever MIB 23 is about, it’s surely going to keep up laughing on the edge of our seats.
