MiC LOWRY have unveiled the music video for their latest single ‘Oh Lord’.
The band, who are currently supporting Justin Bieber on tour, released the single a few weeks ago, and it has already garnered incredible support. It received its global premiere on Radio 1’s Scott Mills show, and in just 10 days it racked up half a million streams on Spotify. ‘Oh Lord’ was also playlisted across some of the most influential Spotify and Digster, additionally breaking into the viral charts across the world.
The video for ‘Oh Lord’ is simple but effective. It has a dark, gritty edge to it, with an effective use of dancers. It fits the style of MiC LOWRY perfectly, as it isn’t showy, and lets their vocals do the talking.
Speaking about ‘Oh Lord’ during our recent interview, MiC LOWRY said: “The track fuses our raw acoustic sound with a moody electronic vibe. The harmonies give a real atmospheric aura to the song as well. It uses a Phil Collins sample on the chorus, making it feel really familiar. It was written by a Swedish collective called “The Family”. They came over to Liverpool to record it with us at Parr St Studios, they’re really cool guys. We hope people enjoy the track as much as we do!”
MiC LOWRY are currently performing ‘Oh Lord’, and a selection of other tracks, on the European leg of Justin Bieber’s ‘Purpose’ tour. Having just finished their sold-out headline UK tour, the boys have already treated Bieber fans in Stockholm to their impressive vocals and harmonies. They will go on to perform 37 European dates in 22 cities, including six nights at London’s O2 Arena to an audience in excess of 100,000.
