On the cover of the December issue, Michelle Obama is all smiles during her photoshoot with the magazine, wearing a cute dress with lacy heels. Michelle is absolutely stunning.
Michelle sits down with Oprah Winfrey to have a deep conversation about what’s going on in the White House today. Also, they chat about what life is like after being in the White House for 8 years.
“As First Lady, you’re not alone much. There are people in the house always, there are men standing guard. There is a house full of SWAT people, and you can’t open your windows or walk outside without causing a fuss.” Michelle confessed in the interview when talking about transitioning from the white house, to a regular house.
“I walked out into my backyard. I sat on the stoop, and there were dogs barking in the distance, and I realized Bo and Sunny had really never heard neighbor dogs. They’re like, What’s that? And I’m like, “Yep, we’re in the real world now, fellas.” Michelle told Oprah about how her two dogs are getting used to the a normal life.
Michelle and Oprah talk about the hurdles Michelle’s family faced when Barack ran for President, “We felt the pressure from the minute we started to run. First of all, we had to convince our base that a black man could win.” she stated.
At the end of the interview, Oprah ended the conversation with, “You feel optimistic with our country?” Michelle then responding with, “We have to be.”
