Miley Cyrus has new music on the way, and it’s a love song for fiancé Liam Hemsworth!
In a new Billboard interview, the Party in the USA singer revealed that the upcoming first single of her new album, that is set to be released later on in the year, is ‘unlike anything she has recorded before.’

Speaking about the single, out May 11, she told Billboard: ‘I never would’ve believed you if three years ago you told me I’d be here writing this song.
‘This record is a reflection of the fact that yes, I don’t give a fk, but right now is not a time to not give a fk about people. I’m giving the world a hug and saying, “Hey, look. We’re good – I love you.” And I hope you can say you love me back.’
Elsewhere in the article, Miley spoke about her decision to quit weed. The last few years have seen the singer extremely outspoken about her advocacy for the drug. Previous experiences saw her wearing costumes printed with the plant’s leaves, and pulling out a blunt on stage at the European Video Music Awards in 2013.

‘This is crazy, but I haven’t smoked weed in three weeks,’ she told Billboard. ‘Which is the longest I’ve ever gone without it.’
‘I like to surround myself with people that make me want to get better, more evolved, open. And I was noticing, it’s not the people that are stoned,’ she said of the decision, adding she isn’t drinking either. ‘I’m completely clean right now!’

Miley and Liam’s love story started in 2009 after they met on the set of The Last Song. They got engaged in 2012 and went through a brief split which saw them reconcile in 2016.
Since getting back together, the pair have been focusing a lot on family and dividing their time between Liam’s home country of Australia and Los Angeles.
