If you are a dedicated fan of either Britain’s Got Talent or The X Factor then you might recognise the two guys who make up Misunderstood, but if you have no idea who they are then don’t fret because you are about to learn! Stephan Benson and Jeffrey Okyere have been performing together since 2010 but it seems like all of their hard work and dedication is finally starting to pay off. The duo are on the brink of completely taking over the Pop and R&B scene, and they have granted us a first look at the music video for what could be their biggest hit yet.
Misunderstood are a London-based duo comprised of best friends and former BRIT School graduates Stephan and Jeffrey, who have spent the last few years perfecting their talents and trying to make a solid music career for themselves. Their music is catchy and upbeat, traditional of the Pop and R&B genre but with an authentic twist which has us feeling all kinds of throwback vibes whenever we hear it. Since beginning their journey together back in 2010, the duo have opened for several artists including Chipmunk, Boyz ll Men, and DJ Fresh but we reckon that if they keep releasing singles like, “Sucker,” it won’t be too long before artists are opening for them.
Misunderstood aren’t just insanely talented though, they also have huge hearts and a big desire for inspiring the next generation. They are currently out on the road on a school tour, which takes them to different schools all around the United Kingdom. The duo are pursuing this tour because they hope to tell their story, spread a positive message, and hopefully encourage the next lot of up-and-coming musicians. They want people to know that it’s okay to be yourself and that you should always follow your heart, no matter what. So basically, they’re really amazing people and we’re so honoured to have been given the chance to exclusively reveal their latest music video.
The boys’ first single, “Sucker,” which features first in their new music video was written by Stephan and Jeffrey themselves along with singer and songwriter Charlie Brown. The track shows the undeniable talent that Misunderstood simply ooze, presenting their effortlessly-flawless vocals on top of a fresh and insanely catchy beat. You will have this song stuck in your head for days after just listening to it once, don’t say we didn’t warn you!
