With their fiery new collaboration, MOD SUN and Avril Lavigne have brought the heat like the sun burning in the sky. ‘Flames’ is an emotional punk rock anthem that certainly packs a punch!
The epic song, which was co-written and produced by the legendary John Feldmann, couldn’t be more perfect. It begins with Avril’s angelic vocals and a haunting piano before bursting into an explosive chorus with MOD SUN singing over heavy guitars.
Speaking about Avril Lavigne’s contribution to his new single, MOD SUN said: “Avril Lavigne has one of my favourite voices in music. It’s so strong and confident, yet filled with emotion and one-of-a-kind inflections that only her voice can do. This song holds a lot more weight than meets the eye. There’s a very deep message within it.“
Avril added: “MOD and I had an immediate connection from the first day in the studio. He’s an incredible artist and producer. This is the first of many. Proud of what we made with ‘Flames’.“
‘Flames’ is available here on all digital platforms. The candid track will feature on MOD SUN’s forthcoming album alongside his previous singles: ‘Bones‘ and ‘Karma‘. MOD SUN and Avril have teased that a music video for ‘Flames’ will be dropping soon so keep your eyes peeled for that.
Following the release of her sensational sixth album ‘Head Above Water‘ in 2019, Avril Lavigne is busy writing more original songs of her own. The Canadian superstar has recently been making magic in the studio with Machine Gun Kelly and Travis Clark.
