Drake’s playlist More Life has debuted at No. 1 on the album chart, breaking multiple streaming records.
The album collected 300 million listens on Apple Music in just seven days and on March 19, he totaled 76,355,041 streams on Spotify over the course of 24 hours. This number shattered Ed Sheeran’s record of 68,695,172 set only weeks prior following the release of Divide.
The 30-year-old rapper launched his 22-song collection on March 18 and within a week, More Life sold 505,000 equivalent album units. This has been the biggest debut for any album since his last record Views dropped in May of last year.
Drizzy’s latest project includes guest appearances by Young Thug, PartyNextDoor, Travis Scott, 2 Chainz, Kanye West and more.
More Life is Drake’s seventh No. 1 on the Billboard 200. He ties Kayne West and Eminem for the second most number one album’s among hip-hop acts. Jay Z holds the title with 13 to his name.
