Vanessa Hudgens stars in Netflix’s new Christmas themed movie, The Princess Switch that was released on the streaming service on Friday, November 16th and it’s the perfect movie to bring in the holiday season.

    No spoilers ahead.

Set in modern day Chicago, a young American baker, Stacy (Vanessa Hudgens’ character), has been offered to compete in a baking competition in Bulgravia. Little did Stacy know that she will switch places with a royal duchess named Margaret for two days. All the duchess wants is to be normal before she marries the Prince on New Years Day and Stacy gives her that chance. All Stacy needs to do is be back before the cooking competition begins. What could go wrong?

With a mixture of The Princess Diaries and Monte Carlo, The Princess Switch brings holiday joy for the whole family and double Vanessa Hudgens. It’s also like every princess film, there’s always a ball, of course. The movie is filled with cute moments and a lot of Christmas spirit. We don’t want to give too much away. It’s pretty cheesy, but who doesn’t love a cheesy Christmas love story? The ending was definitely something we weren’t expecting and it’s something we’ve never seen before.

If you liked The Princess Switch, Netflix also offers other Christmas originals such as A Christmas Prince (this movie makes a surprise appearance in the movie), The Holiday Calendar, Christmas Inheritance among other movies coming soon.

You can watch the trailer of the movie below.

We definitely recommend this movie be on your holiday movie watch list!
