MTV’s “Catfish” Returns To TV In August

Catfish: The TV Show is a reality program that is aired on MTV. The show stars Nev Schulman and Max Joseph, who have both hosted the show since its premiere in November of 2012. The show is based off of the 2010 documentary Catfish, which stars Nev Schulman.

The term “catfish” refers to someone who creates a fake online profile by using others’ pictures and information. These “catfish” start talking to people online and start relationships with them. Their victims seek help from Nev and Max to discover who they’ve really been talking to online.

On June 27, the official Catfish twitter account shared a trailer for the upcoming season, which airs on August 10 at 10/9c. In the new trailer, Nev and Max are dealing with a catfish who has had over 400 victims. Another situation involves a man who believes he’s been talking to a famous popstar. Many fans of the show have also identified Youtuber Andrea Russett in the trailer.

Nev and Max are also seen visiting different places, such as England, and a place off the coast of Alaska.
