Acting sensation Lara Pictet lights up the silver screen in her latest movie By The Light Of Desert Night – a dark thriller that tells the story of three best friends April (played by Picet), Suzy (Meghan Carrasquillo) and Beth (Alexandra Bokova) as they embark on a trip to Raven Rock, ahead of April’s small town ‘wedding of the year’ to high school sweetheart Richie (Max Grey Wilbur).
But when the trip goes horribly wrong, the girls find themselves in a state of utter despair as they uncover a series of twisted secrets that threaten to change their lives forever!
Produced by Ashley Pugh (Life After Flash) & John D. Rakoff (A Street Cat Named Bob), and shot on location in the Valley of fire in the Nevada Desert, By Light Of Desert Night is the debut feature from writer/director David Stuart Snell.
“I have so much admiration for actors. On set, Lara and I laid in a dirty ditch for two days under the blazing sun to capture the final scenes. For me that’s real filmmaking. Down and dirty, in the trenches with your cast and crew, smiling.” Snell says of his experience working on the film.
Designed to create a connection with the viewer and characters which deliberately eschews trickery that’s guaranteed to leave audiences on the edge of their seats, By Light Of Desert Night looks set to be this summers movie must see!

The multi-talented and bilingual performer (Picet is fluent in English, French and Spanish), is currently riding high following the success of her previous film, Beast.
