Singer-songwriter, actor, and multi-instrumentalist Naomi Jane recently released her new single, “Never Let Go,” following on the heels of “Green” and “Miracles (Live.”
Talking about the song, Naomi Jane shares, “‘Never Let Go’ is about how even after a great love has ended, that very love will forever be in your heart. I’ve only loved two boys, one being my first boyfriend, and even though we broke up, he will forever be my first love.”
Born in the heart of New York City, Naomi’s bicoastal upbringing has imbued her with a rich tapestry of experiences. She spent her formative years in New York City and later in the Town of Greenwich, Connecticut. She recently relocated to the greater Los Angeles area and commenced her high school education in Santa Barbara, CA.
Naomi began performing in music, theater, and film at the age of four. Since then, she’s performed under the bright lights of New York and on stages across California. She has graced the boards in numerous off-Broadway and regional musical theater productions, including her portrayal of Young Teddy Trager in the award-winning musical Aussie Song.
She’s appeared at New York elite venues, including Feinstein’s 54 / Below, Green Room 42, Players Club NYC, the Sembrich Opera, and The Theater for a New City. Naomi’s philanthropic spirit shines through as she produced her inaugural Broadway Benefit, dedicated to safeguarding children from the scourge of gun violence.
Naomi made her television debut on PBS Kids with Monkey Monkey Music and appeared in the award-winning series Assisted Living. She has also graced the silver screen, notably starring in the soon-to-be cult classic, A Night with the Sheintops.
In her latest tour de force, Naomi assumes the role of Roxie Hart in Chicago, with eagerly anticipated performances scheduled for late spring 2024 in Los Angeles and Santa Barbara, CA.
“Never Let Go” opens on low-slung tones riding soft, syncopated percussion topped by Naomi’s evocative vocals. As the bassline enters, the tune takes on an alluring resonance, elevating the profound emotional sensation of the song. At once nuanced and oh-so-expressive, Naomi’s voice imbues the lyrics with an array of lush, quixotic timbres.
“Lord knows I’ve tried / Not to change my mind / I put up a fight / But I lose every time / If I loved you once / I’ll love you forever / If I loved you once / I’ll never let go.”
Highlighted by the bravura voice of Naomi Jane, “Never Let Go” simmers with visceral passion, revealing the gravity of love.
