International recording artist Natalie Imbruglia is set to release her first ever live album this week!
Recorded at the iconic Shepherds Bush Empire in London back in October 2022 as part of the ‘Glorious’ singers Left of the Middle 25th Anniversary Tour – her first UK tour in four years – the LP will be available to purchase on vinyl and CD packages, with the first 500 and 2,500 sold, respectively, being signed by the Australian star herself.
Produced by Imbruglia and mixed by Adam Alexander (Bamm Bamm Wolfgang), the record features the hit singles ‘Shiver’, ‘Wrong Impression’, ‘Big Mistake’ and ‘Torn’, as well as tracks from her critically acclaimed top 10 UK album ‘Firebird’, including ‘What It Feels Like’, and ‘Just Like Old Times’.
Commenting on the record, Natalie says via a press release: “The experience I had on the Left of the Middle 25th Anniversary Tour is one I will treasure forever. Off the back of the release of my album ‘Firebird’, which was so warmly received, I was able to celebrate all the music I’ve created from the past, whilst also enjoying performing songs from that record too. ‘Left of the Middle’ launched my music career in a way I could only have dreamt of and I feel grateful I’m still performing and doing what I love.”
“The whole tour was really special to me and much of that came down to the audience each night. They were singing their hearts out at every show. I was watching people have their own connection with different songs throughout the set. You have to remember, most of these people have grown up with me so it was very nostalgic for all of us. Throughout the process of working on this album I got to relive that all over again so it was essential that we captured the raw energy of the night.”
“I’ve always loved writing and more recently producing, and the process (of producing music for a live album) has been particularly fulfilling and satisfying. Choosing which tracks to include on the vinyl and capturing the spirit of the night has been as much of a pleasure as the shows themselves. I especially enjoyed working on the songs from ‘Firebird’, as that was my first co-production, and the level of detail I put into that continued through to this album. It was such a joy working with Adam Alexander (Bamm Bamm Wolfgang)… I hope everyone who hears this album loves it as much as I do and can feel like they were there with us on the night.”
