DJ and producer Nathan Dawe has once again teamed up with vocal powerhouse Ella Henderson for what looks set to be one of the summer’s biggest anthems – ’21 Reasons’.
Sampling the iconic 2003 hit ‘Destination Calabria’ by Alex Gaudino and Crystal Waters, ’21 Reasons’ is a thrilling and euphoric summer bop which is all about why you just can’t let go of someone, even when they drive you crazy. This is the latest collaboration from the pair, who previously teamed up with ‘KSI’ for the platinum-selling single ‘Lighter’.
Keeping the instantly recognisable brass sounds in tact, ’21 Reasons’ turns an Ibiza classic on its head, bringing it completely up to date for 2022. As always, Ella’s distinct vocals shine over the feel good production, reminding us why she is one of the most sought after British female artists in the industry.
Speaking about the collaboration, Nathan said: “I’m really excited about my new single ’21 Reasons’. Working with Ella again has been amazing and I feel like people will love the results. Ella sounds on incredible on the record and I can’t wait for everyone to hear it.”
Ella added; “I’m so excited for this one! I loved working with Nathan Dawe on our record ‘Lighter’ with KSI, so to be doing a new tune together, I’m thrilled! I cannot wait to perform it live with Nathan and a festival crowd, it’s a dance banger for sure.”
’21 Reasons’ cements Ella Henderson as the voice of the summer, following on from her recent collaboration with dance icons David Guetta and Becky Hill, ‘Crazy What Love Can Do’. The trio have just dropped a Thelma and Louise inspired visual for the track which emphasises the importance of female friendship and how self love can give you the power to take on the world.
Marking his first release of 2022, ’21 Reasons’ looks set to continue to propel Nathan Dawe to stratospheric heights. Last year, the BRIT-nominated artist was crowned MTV’s Push Artist for 2021 and enjoyed a string of huge hits including ‘No Time For Tears’ with Little Mix, ‘Way Too Long’ with Anne-Marie and MoStack, as well as the previously mentioned ‘Lighter’.
This summer, Nathan will be returning to Ibiza Rocks for a second year running with a 16-week residency. Plus, you can catch him at a whole host of UL festivals including We Are FSTVL, Creamfields, Boardmasters, Sundown Festival and NASS Fest.
