Seeing that it’s Nathan Sykes’ 23rd birthday, how about we take a look back over some of this living angel’s proudest moments to celebrate?!
Summertime Ball 2013
This event was undoubtedly one of the best moments in Nathan’s whole career. In early 2013, Nathan began having trouble with his vocal cords. As a result of this, he had to undergo surgery that left him unable to sing for a few months. Fans were devastated when they found out that he might not be returning to the band. However, that was not the case. In the June of that year, Nathan took to the Wembley Stadium stage and gave one of his best performances to date.
Midway during The Wanted’s hit single ‘I Found You’ when it was supposed to be his turn to sing, Max, Jay, Siva, Tom and the whole crowd fell silent. After around 30 seconds of silence, Nathan shoots up from below the stage and the whole stadium goes nuts. He gave us a tour of his newly improved vocal range and it left us completely and utterly shellshocked.
More Than You’ll Ever Know
When The Wanted split up in May 2014, we were all left heartbroken. We were left to wonder, will Nathan ever come back? That question was answered in January 2015 when he announced that we were going to hear his first solo song ‘More Than You’ll Ever Know’! He doesn’t consider this to be his first single however, it was our first insight into his solo material. Nobody knew what the song was going to sound like so when we were able to finally listen to it, it completely shocked us! Never did we expect his music to sound so different. Although his music sound is completely different to The Wanted’s, there is no doubt in our minds that it is still absolutely incredible!
His first solo tour
In April 2015, Nathan began his first ever solo tour. He started off at the O2 ABC2 in Glasgow on the 8th of April and finished off seven days later at the Bush Hall in London on the 15th of April. No doubt that a sense of pride washed over him and his fans when he finished this tour.
His first single
On the 28th of June 2015, Nathan Sykes came back with a brand new single ‘Kiss Me Quick’! After getting such a great reaction from ‘More Than You’ll Ever Know’, he decided that he was going to release his debut single. He released a music video for it a month before single was released on the 21st of May. Proud is an understatement when it comes to how we were feeling when his debut single was released!
How proud are we of Nathan Sykes?
To say that we are proud of this amazing human being is an understatement. He is an an all round amazing person who cares so much for his fans. His positive attitude towards his work, music and fans make it so easy to fall in love with him.
