On December 15th, social media star Colleen Ballinger announced on her YouTube channel that Netflix has officially renewed Haters Back Off for a second season.

The show is based on Ballinger’s fictional character Miranda Sings on her rise to stardom. The series premiered on Netflix on October 14th with the cast of Colleen Ballinger, Angela Kinsey, Steve Little, Erik Stocklin, and Francesca Reale.

In the video uploaded to her personal channel PsychoSoprano, Colleen said that season two is already in the works. “I can honestly say that I think it’s going to be better than season one,” Colleen stated. She then proceeded to show video clips of her announcing the news to her family, including Rachel Ballinger, who is also a YouTuber, and Chris Ballinger, who is co-creator of Haters Back Off.

On her Miranda Sings channel, Colleen said that Netflix has ordered eight episodes for season two and also hinted that there would be new characters.
