Fans of the Great British Bake Off, rejoice! A date for the new series has finally been confirmed after launching later than originally planned.
It is one of the most anticipated shows of the year and it is coming back on the 24th of August!

Fans of the much-loved baking competition will be very excited to see Paul, Mary, Sue and Mel return to the show.
But they have had to wait a bit longer than usual for the seventh series.
This is because of the BBC’s coverage of the Olympics in Rio, particularly with the opening ceremony kick-starting the long event this weekend.
Therefore, GBBO has had to launch just about three weeks later than it did last year.
The BBC have reportedly stated that the reason for this delay was because they did not want the Olympics to impact ‘Bake Off’ ratings as it usually draws in audiences of up to 12 million.
A source said: “The Olympics is a big deal for the Beeb and they are basically wiping their prime-time schedule to show all of the action.”
“The ‘Bake Off’ is the one of the pinnacles of their year so they’re not going to waste it. The view is if it starts on ten million plus viewers, it’ll stay there all series.”
“It just makes sense for it to start after the Olympic action has finished.”
We are already licking our lips in anticipation for the showstoppers…
