As soon as it came around, August is about to end and it’s been a month full of huge festival sets and big-name releases.

Reading and Leeds Festival provided some iconic live performances while Olivia Rodrigo, Miley Cyrus, Demi Lovato and Doja Cat have all dropped new tracks.

CelebMix is on hand with seven tracks that might have flown under your radar this month but deserve to be on your playlists.

‘leave me for dead’ – GAYLE

It’s been non-stop for 19-year-old GAYLE since breaking through with ‘abcdefu’. The star has toured with Taylor Swift and P!nk while releasing a string of confident pop-punk hits – ‘leave me for dead’ is another slice of charismatic goodness.

‘Psycho’ – Bars and Melody, Typewriter

Bars and Melody continue to release some of their best work to date with a series of team-ups with producer Typewriter. ‘Psycho’ is the latest release with two minutes of pensive musings dropping into a fierce beat.

    ‘head’ – Maisi piri

Besties Maiai and piri team up on scolding new single ‘head’. With what could be the year’s most catchy chorus and a whole lot of attitude, this is an instant favourite.

‘WAIT UP’ – Ryan Hall, Atlas in Motion

Ryan Hall continues to turn heads by cultivating a grungy electropop production of his own. ‘WAIT UP’ is further proof of the rising star’s talent and deserves to be blasted loud.

    ‘Nirvana’ – Robinson

The ethereal quality of Robinson’s vocals is no secret and ‘Nirvana’ is a soaring hit with stadium-sized choruses. The 26-year-old has teased that more is on the way and we’re waiting eagerly.

‘All In My Head’ – FDVM, Omar Rudberg

Omar Rudberg lends his vocals to FDVM on ‘All In My Head’. The dancefloor-filler showcases a different side to the Young Royals’ star’s voice who adds a house banger to his wheelhouse.

‘Catch Me (Beautiful Fall)’ – twst

twst has her fingers on some of the best electropop production around. ‘Catch Me (Beautiful Fall)’ could well be the star’s best release to date with fist-pumping and heart-pounding production as she takes a leap of faith.
