Welcome to the final New Music Round Up of 2017! We’ve been treated to some absolute gems throughout the year, and whilst the music industry is slowing down for the Christmas period, some of our favourite artists are still busy dropping new material.

With his eyes set firmly on claiming this year’s Christmas UK number one, Ed Sheeran dropped yet another version of his song ‘Perfect’. This time, he released an orchestral version featuring Italian tenor Andrea Bocelli – Ed even sings in Italian on the song! He is currently fighting against himself for the top spot – read on to find out more.

This week also saw Fall Out Boy release their latest track ‘Champion (Remix)’, which features none other than KPOP star RM from BTS. Reggie ‘N’ Bollie also dropped their debut album, Uncommon Favours.

Want a few more offerings to last you through the Christmas period? Here are our final new music suggestions of the year.

Eminem featuring Ed Sheeran – ‘River’

‘River’ is a track taken from Eminem’s new studio album, Revival, which dropped on Friday. Featuring chorus vocals from Ed Sheeran, the track is one of the album’s most popular so far and is currently in battle with Ed’s solo offering ‘Perfect’ for the UK Christmas number one. Not only is the collaboration incredible, but it’s also a full circle moment for Ed. In 2015, he stated that Eminem’s music helped him overcome a stutter when he was a child.

    Anne-Marie – ‘Then’

‘Then’ is the latest release from the hugely talented Anne-Marie. 2017 has been a huge year for the songstress, and the track follows on from the likes of ‘Ciao Adios’ and ‘Heavy’. ‘Then’ has an irresistible beat and, having already been streamed over a million times on Spotify, is bound to continue to grow in popularity well into the New Year.

Post Malone featuring Nicky Jam and Ozuna – ‘Rockstar’ Latin Remix

Latin music has taken the year by storm, and whilst 2017 might be coming to an end, there’s still time to squeeze in one more remix before the year is out. This time, it comes from Post Malone who’s teamed up with Nicky Jam and Ozuna to put a Latin spin on his mammoth hit ‘Rockstar’.

Johnnie Mikel – ‘Come With Me’

Johnnie Mikel has released an infectious new track called ‘Come With Me’. In addition to releasing the song, he’s also dropped a slick music video for it. Speaking about the track and filming his first video, Johnnie said in a statement: “I wanted the video to match the vibe and energy of the track. “Come With Me” is an invitation for everyone to get on the dance floor. The video represents who I am and what my vision was for Come With Me. It’s all about nightlife, high-fashion, and has an abstract feel that makes it super unique. The music video has a very international feel to it and I love that message.”

“Shooting my first video was such an incredible experience, it was so surreal. There’s no other feeling like making your first music video, it’s such a sacred and vital part of an artist’s career. It’s your first chance to introduce yourself and show people who you are through performance, fashion, and portrayal of the music.”

Alex Preston ft. Dem Feels – ‘Feel It’

‘Feel It’ is the brand new release from house producer Alex Preston, available through Mike Mago’s label BMKLTSCH. The track features an uplifting and catchy vocal from Dem Feels. ‘Feel It’ is mighty infectious and will make you shake away your winter blues. The intricate production crosses the realms of deep, bass, and tech house.

    BØRNS – ‘I Don’t Want U Back’

‘I Don’t Want U Back’ is the brand new track from platinum-selling recording artist BØRNS. Written by Garrett Borns and Tommy English, the track will feature on BØRNS’ sophomore album Blue Madonna, which is due for release on January 12, 2018. Fans will get to hear ‘I Don’t Want U Back’ and a string of other songs when BØRNS sets out on his North American tour next year.

    Riton & Kah-Lo – ‘Fake ID’

Grammy nominated duo Riton and Kah-Lo round off a brilliant 2017 with the rumbling club floorfiller, ‘Fake ID’. The track sees the highly in-demand pair blend their talents to form a stomping house hit which looks set to dominate dancefloors well into the new year. Combining Riton’s tribal beat and Kah-Lo’s vocals, ‘Fake ID’ is the follow up to their previous hits including ‘Betta Riddim’ and ‘Money’.

    Almand featuring Tima – ‘Ride’

‘Ride’ is the new track from Almand, featuring sultry smooth vocals from Tima Dee. When asked about the song, Almand said: “From trinkets to basketballs; from oak wood to birch. I come from a background of businessmen and businesswomen, who ran an elite concrete company, manufacturing trucks and concrete to local, national, and international vendors. This experience, in my opinion, helped me understand how to compress, equalize, and export a wave file to MP3 at 320kbps. What didn’t it teach me? Love. Or the minimum acceptable post-disturbance functionality. In 10 years, I would like to be a famous New York City bus driver, but for now, I’ll just Ride.” In simpler terms, Tima added: “When I first heard Almand’s idea for ‘Ride’, the build into the fun chorus hooked me right away. I wanted to capture a feeling of confidence and attitude. Long story short, I wanted it to be about being a sexy, sassy ass bitch.”
