Niall Horan is coming back with his brand new single in 2019 and it wouldn’t be wrong to say, “It will be “Nice To Meet Ya” Niall Horan, this September!” ;)
Global megastar, singer-songwriter, and Irish heartthrob Niall Horan has recently announced the news and shared details of his upcoming much-awaited new music at his record label’s, Capitol Records recent presentation event, Capitol Congress 2019. The event was also attended by Niall Horan’s fellow label artists Katy Perry and Quavo, etc who also presented and made announcements regarding their upcoming music.
Niall Horan has confirmed the title of his new single, ‘Nice To Meet Ya’, which will be released next month, September. This new single is going to be the part of his upcoming second album which is a follow up to his debut solo album “Flicker” released two years ago, in 2017.
“Nice To Meet Ya” is co-written with songwriter RuthAnne Cunningham, who has previously worked with Niall on “Flicker”, penning his highest-charting solo single ‘Slow Hands’. More names such as Tobias Jesso Jr. (known for working with P!nk and Shawn Mendes) and Julian Bunetta, who is popularly known for his hit works with One Direction, Rita Ora, Clean Bandit, etc., are also associated with the upcoming track, with Julian handling the music production.
Niall performed the song for his industry and record label’s fellows and the song has been described (by Billboard) as “trippy” with “90s-’00s rock vibes and a bit of soul and dance”, which makes us more impatient to get to hear the track.
Niall also performed another song titled ‘Put A Little Love On Me’, which is a piano ballad and is probably going to be on the album, with the former. This song is produced by Greg Kurstin, who is known for his work with major artists such as Adele (Hello) and Sia (Cheap Thrills). Niall has also worked with Greg in the past on his previous hit singles ‘This Town’ and ‘Too Much To Ask’. The piano ballad is co-written with Jamie Scott, Mike Needle, and Dan Bryer.
It was also revealed that the release date for his upcoming untitled second album is yet to be decided, although Niall has been updating fans on the progress of his upcoming album. It is speculated that the album will be released either in late 2019 or early 2020, which will have more rock vibes, accompanying with Niall’s signature ballads, and acoustic tunes and fans are super excited to hear more about it.
Niall earlier shared a photo of a recording studio to his fans on Instagram, captioned ‘Spent the morning back in the studio I recorded the whole of ‘Flicker’. We recorded some beautiful strings for a special song and I look forward to sharing it with you.’
Well, it’s safe to say that we’re SUPER EXCITED for the upcoming ‘rockier’ album by Niall Horan. Until then, stay tuned for the release of “Nice To Meet Ya”, this September!
