Niall Horan is bottling up his dreams for The BFG Dream Jar Trail in support of the Save the Children fund.

The BFG started as a book written by Roald Dahl and now – over 30 years later- is heading to the big screen on July 1st (USA). It tells the story of a young girl who befriends a giant, hence the name the Big Friendly Giant. To celebrate the film’s release, the streets of London will be filled with six-foot high jars that contain the dreams of celebrities around the world. The jars will then be auctioned, with proceeds going to the Save the Children fund. The organization is one that aims to establish rights for children to receive education, health benefits, and more. Horan sent out a tweet Tuesday evening (June 28) telling of his contribution.

The BFG Dream Jar Trail will run from July 9th – August 31st. You can find more information about the event here.

This won’t be the first time that Horan has supported a charity. Recently he set up a charity gala along with golfer Justin Rose to benefit Cancer Research UK Kids and Teens. Horan has set up his own charity drives and even played some footie among top celebs in aid of Unicef; the Mullingar native is certainly no stranger to giving back to those in need! You can check out more of Horan’s charity work here.

It’s always refreshing to come across a celebrity that takes a significant amount of time to devote to charity and to give help to those who need it.
