Congratulations are in order for Niall Horan, as the singer has just achieved his first No. 1 album on the U.K.’s Official Albums Chart with Heartbreak Weather. His sophomore album beat close contenders like Lewis Capaldi’s Divinely Uninspired To A Hellish Extent and The Shires’ Good Years.
Although Horan achieved the top spot as a member of One Direction four times – Take Me Home (2012), Midnight Memories (2013), Four (2014) and Made in the A.M. (2015) – this marks the first time he reached No. 1 on his own. Additionally, Horan is now the third One Direction member to reach the achievement after Zayn Malik’s Mind of Mine went No. 1 in 2016 and Harry Styles’ self-titled debut album went No. 1 in 2017. Horan’s debut album, Flicker, was close to coming out on top, as it reached No. 3 in 2017.
“To get to Number 1 in the U.K. is huge for me. I spent 14 months on this album and to have it received like this is just incredible for me. To get a Number 1 is so hard to do, so for the people to wrap their ears around my music in the way they have is also incredible,” Horan told OfficialCharts.com.

Ahead of the album’s March 13 release, Horan released singles like “Nice to Meet Ya,” “Put A Little Love On Me,” and “No Judgement.” Fans can expect Horan to sing all of his new songs, as well as some throwback tracks, on his Nice To Meet Ya world tour this summer.
