A couple of weeks ago we reported how Nicky Byrne was rumoured to be the Irish entry for this year’s Eurovision song contest in Sweden.
We are now delighted to confirm that the rumours are true.
Nicky will be singing his new song “Sunlight”.

The video for Sunlight has racked up an impressive 130,000 views on Youtube so far.
It’s been a busy few weeks for Nicky, not only did he announce he was representing Ireland in the competition but he also signed a record deal with Universal Music Ireland. Following in the footsteps of his old Westlife bandmates Shane Filan. Marcus Feehily and Kian Egan all who have had varying degrees of success with their solo careers.
