Nicky Byrne released Sunlight his debut solo single on Friday.
Nicky was a member of the boyband Westlife for over 14 years, where he scored an amazing 14 number one singles.
Nicky, as we have previously reported is also the Irish entry for this year’s Eurovision song contest.
Nicky was congratulated on Twitter by his old bandmate Shane Filan who encouraged fans to go buy the song.

Shane’s wife Gillan also tweeted her congratulations too.

Nicky also performed the song live for the first time yesterday evening on the Ray D’Arcy Show.
He also confessed during an interview with the host that he dreamed of being the lead singer in Westlife.
“Obviously Westlife was amazing, but I’m not going to lie – there were times were I wished I could have been centre stage.”
