DISCOVER: Nikki Ambers Features On Vion Konger’s New Single “Her Bed”

Nikki Ambers is back with another incredible track, which was released last Friday; she’s really bringing it with her features and we are loving them, this time it’s on Vion Konger’s track “Her Bed”. This single release follows up Vion Konger’s “Obsession” and Nikki Ambers’ collaboration with Ferreck Dawn & Robosonic’s hit track “In My Arms“.

Vion Konger, real name Vitaly Konkin, is a 20-year-old producer, DJ, and artist. He hails from Moscow, Russia, and started in the dance music world by winning a remix competition for Mixmash Records, transforming Laidback Luke’s “Break Down The House”, gaining support from the likes of Blasterjaxx, Steve Aoki, and the artist himself Laidback Luke. Since then he has been growing his fanbase and releasing incredible tracks, which have gone on to get support from Dannic, Nicky Romero, Tiësto, David Guetta, Martin Garrix, R3hab, and more. This is one name to keep your eyes and ears on over the next few years.

As for Nikki Ambers, real name Nicole Shortland, she has had previous success over the last few years. Many will know her as being a contestant on The Voice UK series eight where she was eliminated during the battle rounds – she deserved to have made the final in our eyes. She started off as part of girl-trio Soundgirl who had a moderate hit with “Don’t Know Why” but the group split and she became Little Nikki, which she later said goodbye to at the end of 2017 when she dropped the soulful single “Memory“. As Little Nikki, she collaborated with Maxsta on track “Wanna Go” and she also featured on the DJ Fresh vs TC track “Make U Bounce”; both tracks made it onto the UK Singles Chart, the former at number 48, and the latter at number 10. She also had solo hits such as “Little Nikki Says” which charted at number 53, the song was also used in an advertisement for Boohoo.com; she also charted with “Right Before My Eyes” at number 140, a collaboration with DJ S.K.T, which was a cover version of the Patti Day song made famous by garage group N’n’G. Most recently, her collaboration with Ferreck Dawn & Robosonic on the track “In My Arms” has gone viral within the dance music world. Her voice is impressive and we expect to see more hits from her in the coming years.

According to Spotify, this song has been written by Emma Bertilsson, Karen Harding, Natali Noor, and Vitaly Konkin, whilst it has been produced by the latter two. Are you ready for your next party track? Because this one is ready for you with emotion, feeling, and grit.

The track opens up, tuneful, fresh, and full of sounds; it radiates a bright and uplifting feeling through every listener. The lyrics are quite contrasting to the party backing track, with Nikki Ambers bringing a positive, don’t-care vibe to the emotional lyrics that see a woman singing about her ex who is with another girl but wants her back, she continues, singing about how she won’t let him ruin her life, her time, or herself anymore. He’s realised what he’s missing out on and it really is his loss. Nikki Ambers’ vocals shine in every way possible; it’s amazing to hear how she’s connected with the song whilst also giving it this lightheartedness. This would make a brilliant narrative music video, and we also are hoping for some remixes as this track has huge potential.
