Normani Kordei first wowed us all with her solo performance on the X-factor, belting a wonderful, powerful version of Aretha Franklin’s ‘Chain Of Fools’. It was only a matter of time before her shining moment would arrive.
Soon after being told no, along with Camila Cabello, Lauren Jauregui, Ally Brooke, and Dinah Jane, the girls were brought back by Simon Cowell and formed together to create the billboard breaking girl group that we all know now as, Fifth Harmony.
Each girl has their special quirks that give Fifth Harmony overall life. And what does Normani Kordei give us?
She gives killer power and presence.
She gives confidence.
And most importantly, her individual piece to the whole Fifth Harmony puzzle, makes the group as a whole function. Fifth Harmony wouldn’t be Fifth Harmony without Normani. It also wouldn’t be without Camila, Lauren, Ally OR Dinah.
She’s the “little fierce one” and her fierce presence off and on stage is noted by everyone. From her gracious and elegant photo-shoots to her down to earth personality.
She is a passionate dancer and one thing is for certain. The girl has some KILLER moves. Check her out below!

Along with her four best friends, Normani also understands the importance of empowerment and battling insecurities. For example, take the groups’ seventeen magazine interview where she gives off some pretty darn amazing advice:
“It’s really important to look at yourself in the mirror and have a conversation. Tell yourself you’re beautiful every single day. Even if you’re not feeling that great in an outfit, but you like how your hair looks, focus on that. The only person holding you back is you.”
Overall, Normani Kordei is a confident woman who holds nothing back. Her role model presence shows how special, ambitious and respectful African American women are. She represents not only a certain gender, a race – she represents the confidence we might be missing one day. All we have to do is look up and not hold back.
Thank you Normani for shedding confidence to not only all your fans, but people from all walks of life. You are indeed, The Killer Empress. Don’t you forget that! The team at CelebMix love you and Fifth Harmony dearly!
