After days of speculation, 90s supergroup Oasis have confirmed they will reunite for a world tour next summer, 15 years after brothers Liam and Noel Gallagher fell out, and the band split up.
This morning (August 27th) the duo took to social media to announce 14 new tour dates across the UK and Ireland, tickets for which will go on sale on Saturday, August 31st at 9am for the UK, and 8am for Ireland.
In a statement, Oasis commented: “The guns have fallen silent. The stars have aligned. The great wait is over. Come see. It will not be televised.”
Check out the full list of dates below:
Formed by the Gallagher brothers in Manchester back in 1991, Oasis rose to fame with hits including ‘Wonderwall’, ‘Roll With It’, ‘Don’t Look Back In Anger’ and ‘Live Forever’.
In 1994 their chart topping debut album ‘Definitely Maybe’ helped kick off the Brit Pop era and propelled them to megastardom. In 1996, 2.5 million people applied for tickets to their live gigs at Kenbworth.
Things fell apart however in 2009, when Liam and Noel’s longstanding, fractious relationship finally broke down after a backstage fight ahead of a gig in Paris.
Fans have longed for a reunion ever since…
