Orange Is the New Back star Laura Prepon and her fiancé Ben Foster have welcomed the birth of their daughter in New York over the weekend. A baby-bump free Prepon, 37, was spotted with drinks and canapés at the East Village ‘Out Eatery’ on Wednesday with Foster, 36, after reports the couple had left hospital days earlier with their newborn baby.
The celebrations kicked into the early morning before the couple and friends left the trendy bar.
The private couple, who only announced their pregnancy in January by revealing on Live with Kelly and Ryan that they were expecting in late July, have not yet released the name of the newborn.
The birth came a few weeks late of schedule, but according to a source in the New York Post, the couple are “absolutely thrilled and taking some time to dote on their brand new baby.”
Prepon plays Alex on the smash hit Netflix series Orange is the New Black, alongside Taylor Schilling, who plays her on again, off again love interest, Piper. Their story-line has catapulted the pair to international stardom after stints on previous shows, including Prepon’s role on That 70’s Show.
Foster popped the question to Prepon in October of 2016, and though the couple have yet to formally tie the knot, the pair are said to be planning an extravagant celebration for early in the new year.
Last month, in an interview with People, Prepon joked that it was impossible to design a small wedding for her group of friends, telling the magazine, “the cast of OITNB has 50 people alone!”
