It was a night to remember at the Rockbjörnen Awards 2025, and Omar Rudberg stole the spotlight. The Swedish pop star didn’t just win — he swept the ceremony, taking home FOUR trophies and cementing his status as one of the country’s biggest names in music.

Rudberg snagged Swedish Song of the Year with his smash hit “I’m Not a Boy”, and also walked away with Male Artist of the Year. His dedicated fanbase proved unstoppable, earning him the coveted Fans of the Year award. To top it off, Rudberg was also recognised as a co-writer of International Song of the Year for “Waves” with Ten, showcasing his global influence.

The Rockbjörnen Awards (literally “The Rock Bear”) are one of Sweden’s most popular music awards, created by the newspaper Aftonbladet in 1979.

Unlike many other music awards, Rockbjörnen has always focused on live music and audience power. Categories highlight the best live performers, songs, and groups, and the winners are chosen by public voting, making it very much a fan-driven award show.

Over the years, Rockbjörnen has become a major celebration of Swedish and international pop culture. Big names like ABBA, Roxette, Avicii, Zara Larsson, and Håkan Hellström have all been recognised. Today, it’s seen as one of the most fan-engaging award shows in Sweden — often described as “the people’s music awards”.
