OneRepublic have unveiled the music video for their latest track ‘Better Days’, which features clips from their fans from all over the world.
Back when the song was first released a few weeks ago, the band asked fans to share their acts of kindness through the Cinebody app, with the aim of creating a music video for the track.
The result is a powerful visual full of hope which encourages us to stay at home, stay safe and to look ahead to better days. Directed by Josh Ricks, the visual is also raising much needed funds for the COVID-19 Solidarity Response Fund for WHO. At the time of writing, over $1.2 million has already been raised, with Google matching $2 for every $1 up to $5M.

‘Better Days’ is taken from OneRepublic’s forthcoming album Human. The record was due to be released on May 8, however, due to the current COVID-19 pandemic, it has been postponed for the time being.
Taking to Twitter, OneRepublic said: “Before the pandemic, we planned to release our album on May 8th. Due to the current circumstances requiring us to distance ourselves from each other and you, the release has been postponed.
“As many of you know we’ve been taking this unexpected time out to write and record. some new music. Our new song “Better Days,” written while we were quarantined after returning from our European tour, will be on the album.”
Whilst we might have to wait a little longer for a new album, OneRepublic have teased that they’ll be sharing more new music soon. In a post celebrating ‘Counting Stars’ reaching one billion streams on Spotify earlier this week, the band added that “More music [is] on the way.”
