OneRepublic have teamed up with rapper Logic to release their new single, ‘Start Again’. The track is taken from the soundtrack to season two of 13 Reasons Why, which is released in full today (May 18).
‘Start Again’ is a tale of regret, with OneRepublic frontman Ryan Tedder looking for a second chance, wanting to go back in time to start things over. The track has clear elements of OneRepublic’s trademark anthemic sound, with Ryan delivering his distinct vocals over a driving beat.
Can’t I just turn back the clock? Forgive my sins
I just wanna roll my sleeves up and start again
I know that I messed it up time and time again
I just wanna roll my sleeves up and start again
Logic appears in the latter half of the song and delivers a powerful rap which encompasses elements of his smash hit single, ‘1-800-273-8255’.
Feelin’ like maybe I’m unappreciated
Like my presence in your life has been alleviated
I feel like everything I’ve done before is different now
But I can see clearer than ever from a distance now
Take a listen to ‘Start Again’ below.
As we mentioned earlier, ‘Start Again’ is included on the soundtrack to season two of 13 Reasons Why. Other artists featured on the soundtrack include Selena Gomez, Billie Eilish & Khalid, and Colouring.
Season two of 13 Reasons Why has just been released on Netflix.
