It has been announced that singer Paloma Faith, 35, has given birth to her first child with her partner Leyman Lahcine.
Paloma shared the news with her 360,000 followers on Instagram earlier on today. She announced that she was pregnant in August, again on Instagram. She expressed her excitement at the thought of becoming a mother, explaining she had spent her ‘whole life wanting to be a mother’ and how she ‘feels so lucky’. However, she made sure to address that she wanted her child to ‘have the freedom of a normal life’ and that she will do her best to keep its’ life ‘out of the public eye’.
Four months later, she’s shared another post with the hashtag #IAmAMother and here at CelebMix, we couldn’t be happier for her!

In the post, she praises the NHS (the UK’s National Health Service) and the various people who surrounded her during her ‘difficult labour’.
The former The Voice judge’s fans were quick to congratulate and wish her and her partner the best. One wrote ‘Congratulations!! You clever girl Paloma! Best wishes to all :)’, whilst another said ‘Congratulations, Paloma, you must be very proud. It’s good to see someone standing up for the NHS, instead of using every opportunity to knock it.’
