Her fiancé, Carter Reum, proposed to her on February 13, after they dated for more than a year. Carter Reum is an investor and entrepreneur, who co-founded VEEV spirits, an alcohol brand. He is also a co-founder of the investment company, M13.
One of the props of dating a wealthy man is getting an expensive engagement ring, and Carter Reum did not disappoint. He proposed to her with a stunning 20-carat emerald cut diamond ring lined on each side with smaller trapezoidal diamonds. This incredible gem was custom designed by Jean Dousset, who is known for crafting breathtaking pieces of jewelry, and this was by no means an exception. Interestingly, Jean Dousset is the great-grandson of a business mogul and legend in the jewelry world, Louis Cartier.
Paris Hilton revealed that no detail was spared in the making of the ring. The diamond, ring, which was named ‘Paris’ and rightly so, employed the services of the finest diamond cutters, polishers, and jewelers in creating it.
According to the National diamond council, the ring is set to go down in history books as one of the most elegant and beautiful unique diamond engagement rings of all time. At its core, it is an emerald cut, and with its magnitude, this cut accentuated the clarity of the stone more than any other cut might have.
Perhaps one of the talking points of Paris Hilton’s engagement is that this is not the first time she is receiving such an expensive ring. As a matter of fact, her last two previous engagement rings made the list of stylish and expensive engagement rings.
Towards the end of 2004, Paris Hilton’s relationship with Greek shipping heir Paris Latsis was formally made public. After dating for a few months, Latsis proposed to her with one of the most expensive celebrity rings ever. He spent a whopping $4.7 million to obtain 24-carat canary diamond ring. In fact, sources claim that Latsisproposed to her with 15 different diamond rings before she made her choice. That is surely one of a kind although sadly, they split in 2005.
Again, Chris Zylka, an actor, began dating Paris in 2017. Things got serious between them and he proposed to her in 2018with a stunning $2 million 20 carat diamond ring.
Unfortunately, none of these previous engagements ended in a happy ever after ending for Paris.
At 40, Paris Hilton, who had given up on finding her true love, seems to be elated at the turn of events as evidenced by her social media posts. Carter went the whole mile, planning a trip to ‘tropical paradise,’ in her own words. He also spared nothing in creating the perfect ambiance, when he popped the question as they walked to dinner by the beach.
After such an amazing proposal, it is hoped that this would have a happily ever after ending!
