Paul McCartney just announced the release of his solo album, Egypt Station. McCartney has released two new songs, “I Don’t Know” and “Come On To Me,” both of which you can listen to below.
The album name is inspired by one of McCartney’s paintings and marks his first solo album since 2013’s NEW. The album itself was recorded in London, Los Angeles and Sussex.
McCartney, in an interview, said “I liked the words ‘Egypt Station,” which is the title of the new album, “It reminded me of the ‘album’ albums we used to make. Egypt Station starts off at the station on the first song and then each song is like a different station. So it gave us some idea to base all the songs around that. I think of it as a dream location that the music emanates from.”
Egypt Station is set for release on September 7th.
