Here At Last singer Pedro Santos steps out of his former bands shadow today (June 6th), with the release of his debut solo single “Someone I Don’t Know” – a confident, and emotionally intelligent timeless anthem, that effortlessly blends atmospheric pop with indie-rock sensibilities.

Co-written by Santos, alongside Josh Oliver, and produced by Pete Robertson (The Vaccines) and Harry Winks (South Arcade), musically the song fuses clean, melancholic guitars, subtle beats, and swelling synths that build to a satisfying, anthemic chorus.
Built around a theme of searching for meaningful connection, lyrically the track taps into the modern ache of loneliness felt by many in todays society, even when surrounded by a mass of people.
“I wrote “Someone I Don’t Know” in LA with a friend of mine when I felt like even in a crowd I was alone,” Pedro says of the inspiration behind his debut release. “It’s about longing for a partner who helps you become the best version of yourself.”
“A lot of people say that you must do that on your own before heading towards a relationship but I strongly feel like with the right person, they can help you understand things about yourself that you never understood. I wanted to allow people to really understand how I felt in that precise moment and thought it was a good way of starting the story of what I had been feeling ever since starting to write for my project.”
