Little Mix member Perrie Edwards has released a statement following her time in hospital, whereby she assures fans that she is ‘on the mend’ and apologises for being unable to perform.
The girlband were due to perform as a four piece at the iHeart Radio Festival in Las Vegas. However, Perrie was taken to hospital, with a representative confirming that she had a ‘gastric problem and sadly unable to perform.’
Despite being one member down, remaining members Jesy Nelson, Jade Thirlwall and Leigh-Anne Pinnock still delivered an exceptional and energetic set, performing two of their many hits – ‘Wings’ and ‘Touch.’
In a statement released onto the band’s official Twitter account, Perrie said:
‘Hello beautiful babas…I’m out of hospital…in my own bed, and on the mend. Thanks to Mother Goose, Nurse Sam, and Doctor Hatchi, I should be fine in no time. Sorry to have let you all down, I obv would never want to miss anything but sometimes you have to listen to those who know best and I wasn’t fit to perform. Thank you to the lovely doctors and nurses at Sunrise Hospital in Vegas for looking after me!
My babas I love you all to the moon and back. Perrie <3′
