Pippa Middleton, sister of the Duchess of Cambridge, has given birth to her first child and it’s a boy, weighing 8lb and 9oz!
Pippa and James welcomed their baby at St Mary’s Hospital in Paddington in the same private maternity unit as Kate Middleton who delivered her three children there.
Just hours after Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s pregnancy announcement, Pippa was seen entering the private maternity ward yesterday at 10.30am and she gave birth just over three hours later.
The little boy is the cousin of future King Prince George, his brother Prince Louis and their sister Princess Charlotte.
A family spokeswoman said: “James and Pippa have had a baby boy. He was born Monday 15th October at 1.58pm, weighing 8lb and 9oz.”
“Everyone is delighted and mother and baby are doing well.”
Kensington Palace also issued a short statement: “The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are thrilled for Pippa and James.”
Congratulations to Pippa and James on the birth of their first child!
