As she prepares to welcome new life into the world, Pixie Lott shares her most intimate thoughts, and hopes for the future with the release of a live recording of ‘Build My World’ – a beautiful love song, dedicated to her unborn child.
Co-written with friend and songwriter Toby Gad (Beyoncé, John Legend, Fergie), the gentle lullaby finds Pixie in a place of self-reflection, as she speaks aloud her experiences of preparing to become a Mother for the first time in the most genuine, and poetic way.
“And we’ll begin, skin on skin, hand in hand, making all kinds of plans,” the 32-year-old sings tenderly across the top of a soothing acoustic guitar, before poignantly adding: “I might not before forever but I’ll live forever in you, and all that you do”.

Having initially finished working on the track backstage at a music festival earlier this summer, Pixie performed the song live for the first time in front of an audience back in July. So taken with people’s reactions, the singer decided to then film a performance video at Tape Studio in Soho, London accompanied by guitarist Jake Bisognin, to share on social media.
Such was the online response to the track, the audio was made available on all DSP’s this past week, much tot the delight of long time fans and followers who continue to wait with baited breath for the singer to release her much anticipated fourth studio album.
