If there’s one collaboration we’ve been waiting for, it’s Martin Solveig with Ina Wroldsen. Her vocals and writing skills; with his amazing beats was a destined success, it’s no surprise “Places” is such a tune.
He’s the superstar DJ and singer, known for hits ranging from “Hello” to “Intoxicated”. Real name Martin Picandet, he has worked with Dragonette, The Cataracs, Laidback Luke, and Kele of Bloc Party.
As for Ina Wroldsen, she’s a singer/songwriter, she’s made her name in the songwriting world having written many of The Saturdays’ hits including “If This Is Love”, “Up”, “Ego”, “Notorious”, and “My Heart Takes Over”; Cobra Starship’s “You Make Me Feel…”; Cover Drive’s “Twilight”; Inna’s “In Your Eyes”; Anne-Marie’s “Alarm”; and Clean Bandit’s “Rockabye”, amongst others. She’s been trying for a solo career for a while, her biggest hit was the uncredited vocals on Calvin Harris’ & Disciples’ collaboration “How Deep Is Your Love”.

This track is filled with club vibes and beats. Ina Wroldsen’s unusual vocals add texture and flavour to a hypnotic track. Her voice is so unique that in a few years you’ll identify her voice on the radio with her name. It’s full of emotion and works well as a good commercial follow-up to “How Deep Is Your Love”, even though she’s released a few songs in between that hasn’t done so well.
Martin Solveig mixes Ina Wroldsen’s raw emotional vocals well with the club beats he’s been experimenting with. What could be a cute song, that was written by themselves (Ina Wroldsen & Martin Picandet), is mixed up to a club tune we can’t wait to dance to in the clubs.
