Musical tour de force Florrie begins 2024 on a high, by announcing details of her long-awaited debut album ‘The Lost Ones’, along with the release of the projects lead single of the same name!
Set to drop on Friday, June 14th via BMG and Xenomania Records, the LP promises to encapsulate all of the “breathtaking highs” and “devastating lows” experienced by the singer throughout the course of the last decade, as she fearlessly battled industry expectations and triumphed against adversity to establish her own, unique artistic identity.
Written and produced predominantly by Florrie and Xenomania founder Brian Higgins (Sugababes, S Club, The Saturdays), the album also sees the ‘Left Too Late’ singer collaborate with hit-maker, Takura Tendayi (Rihanna, Chase & Status), on a collection of tracks that promise to resonate with a generation of young people looking to find their place in the world.
In a press release, Florrie says of the record, as well as its lead single: “I have been waiting to make my debut album for the last 12 years and it deserved all the time and love I’ve put into it.”
“‘The Lost Ones’ is about letting go; of past regrets, mistakes you made when you didn’t know any better, and keeping hold of hope when life gets hard. There was a time when I almost gave up on music, and I went through a rough couple of years. I wrote this song while rediscovering myself as an artist and a human being.”

Of the tracks captivating music video, the singer adds: “I filmed this video in the hills behind the old Xenomania studio, where I started my career as an artist, and it felt very poignant being back there. I also wanted to include some old videos to show where it all began… and as a reminder to never give up.”

Since crashing onto the music industry in 2010, following the release of her fizzing, independently-released debut EP ‘Introduction’, Florrie has long been one of British pop’s most enigmatic figures.
After producing two more EPs, that earned her international acclaim, a major label signing, and a challenging period of navigating differing opinions about her artistic direction, the London-based singer took a step back from music to “rebuild and rediscover” her love of writing and producing.
As a member and drummer in the supergroup of songwriters and producers, Xenomania, the star penned hits for the likes of Kylie Minogue, Rebecca Ferguson and the Pet Shop Boys.
Now, in 2024, after a run of well-received independent singles – including 2019’s Grey’s Anatomy-soundtracking ‘Borderline’, Florrie is back to really show people what she’s capable of!
Along with the announcement of her new album, it has also been revealed that the singer will support Girls Aloud on the 5 London dates of their comeback tour at the O2 Arena in June, marking something of a full-circle moment, having played drums on the bands 2008 hit ‘The Promise’ and co-written their 2012 comeback single ‘Something New’.
