Pop’s bad girls Nasty Cherry are back with ‘Music With Your Dad’

Alt-rock meets bubblegum pop on ‘Music With Your Dad’, we just can’t get enough of Nasty Cherry.

Dropping their fourth single ‘Music With You Dad’ today, the Charli XCX formed band are fast picking up a cult following with their pop blend and rock attitude.

Written within a day of first meeting, ‘Music With Your Dad’ is a plucky offering with a tongue-in-cheek hook powering the Justin Raisen (Angel Olson, Sky Ferreira) production forward. “He just wants me, he just gets me”, lead-singer Gabriette winks.

Alongside the vocalist, bassist Georgia Somary, drummer Debbie Knox-Hewson and guitarist Chloe Chaidez make up the rest of the fruity line-up. Mentored and promoted by XCX, gaining nearly 10,000 followers overnight as the ‘White Mercedes‘ singer uttered their name, Nasty Cherry are also signed to XCX’s Vroom Vroom Recordings. With a debut EP arriving next month, the fresh-faced band have already brought in millions of streams in 2019.

Debuting with the punching ‘Win‘ earlier this year, the hit has been followed by seductive ‘What Do You Like In Me‘ and summer-flick ‘Live Forever‘. With sold-out gigs across the pond in New York and Los Angeles, alongside a recent show-stopping set at NME’s GIRLS TO THE FRONT, the pop-punk rockers have wasted no time in making their mark on the industry.
