Rising star Michael Zeidel has launched his new clothing line ‘know your worth’.
The singer, who featured in CelebMix’s Rising Online Artists earlier this year, has seen his online following grow over the 100,000 mark.
Zeidel, who has performed at events such as Social Bash and Winter Live, is known for his pop covers shared online.
Now, the 19-year-old launches his clothing line ‘know your worth’, a sum of proceeds from which will support a number of organisations and GoFundMe pages requested by fans.
CelebMix caught up with Michael Zeidel to chat all things clothing and what the future holds.
Q: Hi Michael, what made you want to launch your clothing line?
A: “People would always ask if I had merchandise to purchase. I would say, save the money and help someone in need. I can now finally spread a positive message while helping others in need through the funds raised by ‘know your worth’.”
Q: The brand is called ‘know your worth.’ – is there a story behind that?
A: “Definitely. ‘know your worth’ came around the end of last year.
“While I was a freshman in college away from home for the first time, it’s was a bit tough, not in a bad way – it was different. You’re responsible for your laundry, making food, being tidy and so forth. There’s a lot of growing up to do.
“In all of that, I struggled to find time to do what I loved and what gave me pure happiness. I finally began to ‘know my worth’ and started to pursue music fully. Ever since then I have achieved maximum happiness. Knowing your worth makes you a stronger and happier individual.”
3) What inspired the design of the collection? And, following on to that, who or what inspires what you like to wear?
“My dear friend Miggs Rosales assisted me with design. The vision was to be simplistic and have the message come across smoothly.
“I like to see what Shawn Mendes, Niall Horan and my friends are wearing for fashion, then I take inspiration from them.”
4) Can fans expect more pieces to be added to the collection as time goes on?
“Definitely, there is so much in the works already. If anyone wants to request a product, send us a DM on Instagram.”
5) What’s going on behind-the-scenes for you with the music right now? Anything exciting coming up?
“Yes, there’s so much on the way! Hopefully around December time. I’ve been working closely with one of my best friends, Mackenzie Sol. He’s such a talented individual and a humble human. I’m super grateful to know such a wonderful person.”
