On July 11th, Queen + Adam Lambert surprised the crowd in Bologna, Italy with a stunning performance of “Nessun Dorma”! Adam chose the perfect time to share his rendition of the aria from the last act of Puccini’s Turandot, since the show took place in the birthplace of opera.
Adam shared via Instagram saying, “During soundcheck, I started singing this song, which I had learned many many years ago as a teenager when I trained in Opera for a brief time. We decided to put a piece of it into our set whilst in the Opera house visual. I have always loved this melody. It coveys such triumph.”
Brian May shared via Instagram saying, “A spontaneous gift to Bologna last night! So proud of Adam! I can see our dear departed friend Luciano smiling!”
