REVIEW: New Hope Club at The Vamps Tour

After a whirlwind six years as a band, The Vamps took to the O2 arena stage on 28th April for their fifth headline show there. Since being signed to The Vamps’ record label in 2015, New Hope Club have been supporting the guys on tour, and The Night & Day Tour was no different.

Blake, George and Reece took to the stage after previous support acts :PM and HRVY to showcase their incredible set, compiled of new songs and old favourites.

The crowd were roaring just from watching the music video for Tiger Feet on the screens of the arena, so it was no surprise that when the boys appeared on stage in front of their adoring fans they were met with applause. The opening chords to Fixed – originally heard on the Welcome to the Club EP – sent fans into a frenzy as they sung and danced along to the catchy beat. The next track from the boys was a new one – Let Me Down Slow – which they debuted on their Twitter ahead of their fanfests earlier this year. The audience adored the heartfelt track that alludes to a relationship that is struggling to continue.

The guys then performed Crazy which they debuted earlier in the week at the Belfast show. The darkness of the arena was suddenly lit up as everyone held their phone lights in the air, creating a beautiful atmosphere.

Upbeat anthem Why Oh Why followed as the audience danced around and many sung a long to the catchy chorus. New Hope Club then performed their last song Tiger Feet which featured on the Early Man soundtrack. The 50s inspired music video was shown before George, Reece and Blake took to the stage so, it was wonderful to see it be performed live. After recording a short video from the stage, capturing the huge audience they had just performed to, the guys left the stage, leaving the crowd pumped to see The Vamps.
