Rihanna has has teamed up with luxury jewellery retailer Chopard, to launch her first ever jewellery line.
The nine-piece ‘high-end’ capsule collection will be showcased during the Cannes Film Festival in May.
Rihanna and Chopard say they set out to create ‘joaillerie and haute joaillerie’ – a line inspired by a combination of urban chic and classic glamour.
The collection will be called ‘Rihanna Loves Chopard’.
Taking to Instagram to announce the collection Rihanna wrote:
“I’m so happy to announce that I’ve had the honor of designing with the legendary Caroline Scheufele, of the @chopard family, my first high end jewelry collection!! The core collection is up for pre-order now at Chopard.com and will be in stores this summer!”

In addition to the ‘Rihanna Loves Chopard’ line, the singer has collaborated with Chopard’s co-president and Creative Director Caroline Scheufele on additions to the brands ‘Ice Cube’ range, a Chopard classic that was originally released in 1999.
In an official statement released by Chopard, Rihanna says:
“I have always been in love with Chopard’s exquisite jewellery, so to actually design collections with them is something I still can’t believe.”
Scheufele adds:
“Rihanna and I collaborated closely on the collections so you can feel her unstoppable energy, strong creativity, and inherent sense of design in every piece.With her unique style, she redefines the way people see and wear jewellery.”
“It was a really incredible process and I learned so much! I can’t wait for everyone to see it.”
‘Rihanna Loves Chopard’ is available for pre-order now and will be officially released May 17th, 2017.
