All new Riverdale season 4 was recently aired on 9th October 2019 on The CW and was also released on 10th October 2019 on Netflix.
Riverdale fans were filled with excitement for the new season to be released. The first episode of season 4 was emotional and devastating for all fans as Riverdale paid a beautiful tribute to Luke Perry who played Fred Andrews (Archie Andrew’s dad). Unfortunately, Luke Perry died of a stroke on 4th March 2019.
The episode showed scenes on the citizens of Riverdale organising the 4th of July parade and the core four; Betty, Veronica, Jughead and Archie plan their camping trip for their start of senior year. During this scene, Archie receives a call where he drops to his knees. Archie and his mum, Mary, receive news from F.P. that Fred has died. Archie and his mum mourned together before Archie and his friends shared their stories on Fred’s good deeds.
Archie then had a dream about his Grandpa and family all in one room telling him to bring Fred home. The next day, Archie and the gang arrive at Cherry Creek where the accident took place and he tracked down Fred’s truck which had his jacket and cigarettes in it. Archie then discovers a woman placing flowers where Fred died – he found out that Fred helped fix her car and how he saved her life. During this scene, they did a prayer for Fred. After, raging Archie tracks down the person who killed his dad – George Augustine. Archie started to shove him but it turned out to be George’s teenage son who stole the car. Archie then leaves the home and goes back to Riverdale with his dad. As Archie and the gang return home with Fred’s body, there are scenes with people honouring and cheering for Fred. The next scenes were full of emotion as Josie sang “amazing grace” for Fred’s funeral.
